    Green Steel Environmental

    Investor Update

    August 5th, 2025

    10:00am - 11:00 AM MST

    Virtual via Zoom

Green Steel Environmental (GSE) has developed a slag-based wastewater treatment solution that, in the face of stronger phosphorus regulations, serves as a more sustainable and cost-effective alternative. Not only is the solution effective, but it is also better for the environment, removing the need for ferric chloride. In addition to wastewater treatment, GSE upcycles steel slag for use in biogas scrubbing. Biogas, a byproduct with strong resale value for the treatment facility, contains impurities such as sulfur that GSE’s solution effectively removes as well.

Join Rockies Venture Club for the Green Steel Environmental Investor Update to learn more about the companies progress, meet the executive team, and discuss the opportunity alongside existing RVC investors. The Investor Update will take place virtually and will cover all the major due diligence questions such as IP, competition, leadership, funding strategy, exit strategy, use of funds, milestones, etc.

Review the GSE Investor Deal Page

(DD Report Included on Deal Page)

The format for the Investor Update will be as follows:

Update from Green Steel Environmental (30 Minutes)

    Outstanding Q&A (20 minutes)
    Investor Only Conversation (10 Minutes)

RVC Valuations & Term Sheets Workshop

    Hosted at Thrive Ballpark

This Valuations class is designed for both investors and entrepreneurs to learn valuation side by side.
    • How can you assign value to a company with no income and no assets?
    • Does discounting future value work?
    • What is the role of risk quantification in early stage valuation.
    • Find out how an inflated valuation can deflate a company.
    • Hands-on practice with FIVE different valuation methodologies.
    • How to use valuation models for negotiation.
    • How exit strategies five years in the future can impact your valuation NOW.

    Term Sheets

The Term Sheets workshop is designed to help you understand the key terms of an investment term sheet, including how to structure a deal that gets you not just through the current round of funding but that also carries you all the way through to a successful exit.

Term sheets are the documents investors and entrepreneurs use to negotiate the deal. There can be as few as three or four terms and as many as thirty terms depending on the complexity of the deal. We will talk about what level of detail is appropriate and how to structure an Angel term sheet so that the company will be attractive to VCs in a follow-on funding situation.

A sample term sheet will be provided to facilitate discussion but participants are encouraged to bring their own term sheets (if they have them) so the discussion can focus on specific and relevant term sheet issues and development of strategies to address those issues.

Investors: You will be able to read a company's term sheet and identify red flags, bad terms, and other reasons to walk away after this course. Find out how to protect yourself from dilution and protect your investment from future fundraising or exit troubles. You can't afford to miss this one!

Entrepreneurs: You should walk away from this workshop better prepared to evaluate the key terms of an investment term sheet – specifically those that relate to the economics of a deal and control of your company. Market conditions dictate terms but learn how to avoid common missteps and be a better, and informed, negotiator. You can't afford to miss this one!

What is the Format?: 2-hour session, with the first hour reserved for introductions and a presentation on the mastermind topic. From there, facilitators will open the group up for discussion diving further into the topic discussed or other dilemmas presented by attendees.

RVC Signature Series: Life Sciences Night

Life Sciences offer special opportunities for entrepreneurs, angel investors and Venture Capitalists alike. There are huge markets in healthcare and the investment profits at exit is often different and more robust than other industries as large companies often use acquisition as an R&D strategy.  For angel and VC investors, life science investments can be one of the most profitable sectors.

Rockies Venture Club, The Colorado Bioscience Association and Innosphere have joined in partnership to present Life Sciences Night, which will showcase investment ready Colorado life sciences startups, a panel discussion from local VCs, and valuable networking opportunities for entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors.

    • Are you wondering what the changes at the FDA will do to impact new and established life science and healthcare companies?
    • Are you wondering if it makes sense for angel investors to get involved in investing in therapeutics?
    • Are you wondering how the liquidity crunch is impacting life science companies?

Well you can learn the answers to these questions and more at the Life Sciences Night!

    In partnership with

Innosphere-logo - American Cyber Security Management

After the conclusion of presentations, all accredited investors in attendance are invited to join the Rockies Venture Club Investor Forum. RVC Investor Forums serve to pool the wisdom, expertise, and capital of many individual angels. At this forum, investors will privately discuss the merits and risks of each venture. There is no requirement to invest and each investor has an opportunity to indicate interest in following or leading a specific deal. Both new and experienced investor members are welcome at forums -- this is the best way to learn hands-on about angel investing!

Entrepreneurs interested in presenting at the event can submit a formal pitch application to RVC by July 20th to be considered: https://sparkxyz.io/applications/624
